It slides into my pocket easier than a silicon case does, and fro me that's another plus. I got it in a black, but there is also a tan, red and blue version.
The leather just feels good in your hand, not at all slippery, it's a little hard/stiff, but probably the best way to protect your phone. and the cutout for the lenses is slightly raised to protect the protruding lenses perfectly. The inside is more of a swede thay will not scratch the phone. Getting this all right, with leather is a remarkable accomplishment. And the 3 buttons work properly and the holes on the bottom match up perfectly. Well, once home, I unpacked and placed my new iPhone in it's new leather case, quite a tight fit, quite remarkable how tightly the seams match. I had a folding leather case with my first I phone (hum, more than 10 years ago), but it made the phone too big, but that was before the iPhone had really caught on and so many vendors produce iPhone compatible products. Well now had to have one, I love the aesthetics of this case. I checked their web site and it said the case can be left on and it will still work in (most) chargers. Wow, the quality of the leather is excellent, the thinness, yet sturdiness is remarkable.īut I almost always charge my phone in a wireless changer (in car, office & living room - 3 different chargers).

If you’re a responsible phone handler, professional business person, or want a case that is simple yet well designed, then this is your case.įirst impression: How did they do that with leather? If you’re a phone dropper though, this isn’t the type of case that is going to afford total protection. The feel of the case is smooth, but not slippery it isn’t bulky and hard to handle. I didn’t have that problem at all, even after carrying it for 2 weeks straight in my front pocket as I always do. Most impressive, considering many cases just have large openings that let pocket lint and dirt in. The placement and alignment of the speaker holes and charging port opening in the bottom to the phone itself is impeccable and very precise. I’ve uploaded photos showing the fit of each type. The charging port opening is cut plenty wide enough for the Apple-brand charging cable, but aftermarket charging cables may not fit properly, or impede seating the plug depending on size. The opening for the silence/vibrate switch is deep enough to prevent inadvertent operation, but not so deep to make normal operation difficult. The buttons for volume and power move flawlessly and aren’t stiff to push like my last case. This is a finely molded leather case that appears to be meticulously crafted with a soft interior lining glued onto a leather shell. Initial appearance was that it’s plastic it is not though. I’d previously used a wallet-style case to carry my ID and a couple cards similar to this, but they become bulky in the front pocket so I decided to try this one out since the 12 differs a tiny bit from the XR. I prefer a more formal looking, simple, professional-looking style. Having recently bought the new iPhone 12, I’ve been looking at new protective cases. While it may not offer the protection afforded by bulkier and more expensive phone cases, it is well suited to someone who wants an sleek way to protect their phone at a competitive price point. Its a nice lightweight fully functional case. The buttons are raised which provide great tactile sense when you need to adjust the volume or take a screen shot. You get that great feeling of leather without the bulk. Why I like this case: It is super thin - less bulk in my pocket, and being so thin it works well with the wireless charger in my truck.

While practical, this type of case ended up being rally hard on my phone or at least my screen protector, Credit cards would rub against the screen protector and scratch or crack the protector.

I had been using a leather folding case for years that allowed me to carry not only my phone but drivers license credit cards and such - my new wallet so to speak. With the price of a new phone, I really need to protect that investment so a good case is a must. At this price point the ProHT leather iPhone case is really good value especially compared to competitive offerings.
